Weird Dreams

I always have really weird dreams. I used to call them nightmares, but they're so frequent now, the shock has worn off.

Last night I dreamt I was in some kind of Wal-Mart store and there were monkeys on the loose. No one could see them but we could see merchandise being moved on the shelves. I had the brilliant idea of diving through an end-cap of products, landing myself in the middle of one of the huge metal racks that makes up the aisles. This little trick was unexpected, and I was able to catch one of the monkeys. It turned into a rat. Not the kind of transformation you can see, but the kind that happens physically and in your mind at the same time. In other words, I never remembered it being a monkey until I woke up. Anyway, this rat starts biting me, and I imagine being infected with deadly viruses, so I try breaking its neck. Several vertebrae seemingly shattered, but the thing was still alive, so I asked a passerby to stomp its head. They politely declined and the rat bit me again so I threw it against the floor as hard as I could. It exploded like a furry water balloon filled with blood and miniature organs.

Then I woke up.
